Nourish Your Nervous System:

An 8-Session Series

 

The Nourish Your Nervous System series is for those who want to supplement or support their psychotherapy work with a somatically-oriented therapy approach. This series is offered in a 1:1 format (in-person first and last sessions are highly encouraged and in-person or virtual sessions for sessions 2-7 are welcome). Each session will combine psychoeducation, a collaborative exploration of a theme, and an embodied practice. The initial session includes an assessment and is approximately 2 hours. Follow-up sessions are approximately 45-minutes to 1-hour.

Themes for each session vary depending on your needs, but may include the following: embodied signs of safety and stabilization, exploring the landscape of your nervous system, creating rhythms, noticing activation patterns in your body, noticing holding/freezing/immobilizing patterns in your body, engaging with interoception, engaging with choice, exploring power as an influence in your embodied experience, and relating to rest.

Cost: If you have a mental health condition, insurance is accepted (HMSA, UHA, HMAA, HMSA Quest, Medicare). Out-of-pocket price for the 8-session series is $1,200 (payment plans are available).

 

 

TCTSY - Individual

Individual Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) can be tailored to your specific needs. The process: we meet once to talk about your current experience of how trauma has impacted you and to see if TCTSY may be a useful practice for you (this initial visit may be covered by insurance if you have a mental health diagnosis) and discuss a possible plan from there.

Pricing for TCTSY individual sessions: Individual sessions are typically held for 45-minutes to 1-hour at a rate of $75/session. This includes approximately 30-45 minutes of a guided movement practice plus approximately 15 to open and close/process/reflect on themes of your practice.

 

TCTSY - Group

 

(No current groups running - please fill out the contact form if you’d like to be notified of future groups!)

A 60-minute group TCTSY class, meeting for a series of 6 classes. Each class will include a theme, reflection time, and a facilitated movement/yoga practice. TCTSY is an adjunct to your ongoing therapy/recovery work and it is highly suggested you are working with a therapist or other support person. Please schedule an “enrollment call” along with submit the “enrollment form” before signing up for this group. Max participants is 8.

This could be a good fit your group if you are in the fitness industry, you are part of a yoga school, or you are in the wellness industry and would like to learn more about trauma and principles consistent with TCTSY.

Individual psychotherapy - I work with individual adults on a variety of issues. I consider myself a trauma therapist who is relationally-oriented. I value collaborating to co-create a therapy space built on trust and transparency within which to work. I work best with folks who are open to the possibility of exploring their relationship with all parts of themselves. Insurance welcome (HMSA, UHA, HMAA, Medicare, HMSA Quest. Not credentialed with Kaiser or Tricare).
